About Our Service
Luxplan offers a streamlined lighting design service for new builds and renovations throughout the UK and even overseas.
Lighting designer Claire Pendarves originally trained as an interior designer and then became passionate about the transformational effects of well designed lighting. This means that the lighting schemes that she designs are not just functional but are individually tuned to dovetail with your design aspirations
Claire works from plan – just as she would normally do on any local project – the only difference being that she does this remotely whilst communicating with you by email, phone and Zoom. All lighting is specified from a wide range of quality fittings using her wealth of experience to ensure that the best, most cost-effective solution is proposed.
We don’t supply the lighting for the online service but full details of any lighting specified is given together with the plans so that you can purchase these independently for the best prices available. This illustrates how we have no ulterior motive in suggesting any specific brands or light fittings over another. Of course, any fittings suggested may be replaced with others that you choose at your own discretion.
What I Do
I listen to you and take into account your design aspirations and how you envisage the use of space within the property.
I mark up your plans with all positions and circuits with suggested architectural light fittings.
I supply a full, detailed specification of all fittings on each circuit together with a legend and further information on each fitting.
I email you the plans and specification ready for your electrician to work from.
After submitting the plans and specifications I’ll make any changes to the design that you request within two weeks. This is free of charge provided changes haven’t been made to the building design and balance payment has been received. Beyond two weeks from submission of plans a charge for changes will be made.
